What is Mother ROS?:
Mother: Rain of Stars is an fan game/sequel of the beloved Mother 3, but with secrets that were hidden and stories that weren’t told. It is a strange, funny, and heartrending journey, with smiles and tears.

Synopsis:
After the disaster, a Blue-haired kid who was very optemistic and happy, he loved his family to the infinity, until that night, something came to ruin the love and harmony. The poor kid grew weak and sad, because he lost his family. 3 years later, a meteor shower happened, he made a wish for his family returned, but then, a crash landing occurred, the kid doesn’t know that big surprises had come to him…
The darkness kept the universe in hostage, once again.

The prophecy continues.

A kid with a golden heart of love and hope.

A sweet and sour girl with a soul silver.

Developer’s Note:
The game/demo is not ready, however, I’m still studying to improve things and learn stuff from Gamemaker. I know I made a new thread, but I need to refresh this project, the story has been made, it is changed under new management.

You guys wanna see the Music Source? The real reason why I got distracted from my projects?

I love this program, this is where I make music for the game, most of the songs are original and made by me, of course.
Long story short, I make music from the samples I recorded from my keyboards, some were online, and others are custom made, then recorded and editing with the Midi tracks, as seen on the boxes. For dual samples, I use the Instrument Rack to make dual, octaves, detunes, and multi samples.
PSR76 is the name of my keyboard, It has better and realistic instrument sounds (I PK Love this keyboard), YC45D is custom made, It has sounds from a Square and/or Triangle waveforms, and Crumar Orchestrator I got it online like few years ago. But the hardest samples I recorded was a Custom Made Bell Organ sample from the DX7, I like to call it, “Raining Stars Bells”, most people in my country called it “Liberacion Bells”, it was name after a Mexican musical group, also used that sample. It’s not hard once I adjust the equalizer.
Anyways, back to the point, This program is super easy and comfortable for me, I had fun making this, even though the looping the samples is kind of a pain. I’m focusing how to make the music like the Mother Series, like relaxing, rocking, and creepy ambience.
By the way, the title “Chilly like Peppermint Candy” is Peppermint’s (Clara’s home town) theme song.

heya, you said you were up to suggestions.In the last demo Todd’s backstory was told trought text and if you’re keeping the game the same but in a different enginew, my idea ias to tell the backstory with text, but telling it via cutscenes much like in Mother 2 when ness visits his home as a child and sees himself as a baby and stuff.

Moving on, remember Tod’s House and the whole town on the Demo?

Since I’m moving on a different engine, the landscapes and buildings will be completely different, because I feel like this town should be a small, clean, and green village surrounding by a forest, with humble and nice people, with highway road made of recyclable plastic and concrete. I feel like Honeycomb should be an eco-friendly land, so the player would feel like the landscape is wild and clean to explore.
Not only that, I found the tile option on Background Properties and change the tile sizes into 8×8 pixels instead of 16×16, that way I can organize it easy, as I did on my Rom Hack.

Look, I’m not in a good mood today, or the last two weeks, I wanted you to understand that people make mistakes, and I made alot, I apologize, It’s time to carry on and not looking back.

Rain of Stars is offically taking a long hiatus, here’s why:
I kept making stuff in a hurry without having a good start, also distractions, and ended up in a disasterous way. I need more time and patience to concentrate and study of the series’ nature and good gameplay, mainly the story, making games are kinda stressful.
I don’t wanna see comments like “Oh no, he’s cancelling another good fangame” “You kept saying to have our patience and you kept wasting time instead”, no I’m NOT cancelling anything, I will return with more content, and not procrastinate this time, right now I need to concentrate with other thing I have in mind, like my Rom Hack project I’m currently making.
Here’s something for your patience:
